After fusion, v-SNARE and t-SNARE remain associated in a tight complex. The complex have to be dissociate, so that v-SNARE can be recycled to the donor compartment for participation in a new round of vesicular transport. 3) NSF protein bind to the SNARE complex via adaptor proteins and hydrolyses ATP to pry the SNAREs apart.
